Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough and place in a pie pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  7. Pour apple mixture into the pie crust.
  8. Cover with another layer of dough and cut slits for steam.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until apples are tender.
  10. Let cool before serving.
