  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. In a large pan, melt the butter and sauté onion, carrots, and celery until soft.
  4. Add bread crumbs, broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pan. Mix well.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the mixture and place it in a roasting pan.
  6. Cover the turkey with foil and roast for about 3 hours.
  7. Remove the foil and roast for another hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
