Description

A simple and delicious pork recipe cooked in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned.
  3. Place sliced onion and garlic in the crockpot.
  4. Add the seared pork shoulder on top of the onion and garlic.
  5. Pour barbecue sauce over the pork.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  8. Shred the pork and mix with sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with bread or rice.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
