Description

A creamy and cheesy potato bake that is perfect as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the onion and garlic over the potatoes.
  5. Pour half of the cream and milk mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Add half of the cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Can be topped with fresh herbs for added flavor.
