Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the potato slices at the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and half of the garlic over the potatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the remaining potato slices on top.
- Pour the heavy cream over the layers.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Use a mandoline for even slicing of the potatoes.
