Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar and salt.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes.
- Place sliced cucumbers and onions in a clean jar.
- Pour the cooled pickling liquid over the cucumbers and onions, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- For best flavor, allow to pickle overnight.
