Delicious red velvet cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, buttermilk, egg, food coloring, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. For frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  11. Spread frosting over warm rolls.
