Description
Traditional Russian dishes served during New Year’s celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups of beetroot, boiled and grated
- 2 cups of carrots, boiled and grated
- 1 cup of potatoes, boiled and grated
- 1 cup of pickled cucumbers, diced
- 1 cup of green peas
- 1 cup of boiled chicken, diced
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the beetroot, carrots, and potatoes until tender.
- Grate the vegetables and let them cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the grated beetroot, carrots, potatoes, pickled cucumbers, green peas, and chicken.
- Add mayonnaise and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- This salad is better when prepared a day in advance.
- Adjust the amount of mayonnaise according to your taste.
