A fresh and tangy salsa verde recipe made with tomatillos and herbs.
Ingredients

- 10 tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place tomatillos on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes.
- Allow tomatillos to cool slightly, then transfer to a blender.
- Add cilantro, onion, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, and salt.
- Blend until smooth or desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- This salsa pairs well with grilled meats.
- Adjust the heat level by adding more or less jalapeño.
