Description
Scalloped potatoes are a creamy and cheesy side dish made with thinly sliced potatoes.

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the potato slices in the dish.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Add half of the heavy cream and half of the cheeses.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, seasoning, cream, and cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Let the dish sit for 10 minutes before serving.
- Use a mandoline for even slicing.
