- 4 cups water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 slices bacon, chopped

Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Gradually whisk in grits and reduce heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.
- In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving drippings in the pan.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened.
- Add shrimp, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
- Mix in reserved bacon and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve shrimp mixture over a bed of creamy grits, garnished with fresh parsley.
