Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • Red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Fill cupcake liners with batter, about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make frosting, then frost cupcakes.
  11. Top with red and green sprinkles.
