- 3–4 pounds beef brisket
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
- Place the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, beef broth, brown sugar, garlic, and thyme.
- Pour the mixture over the brisket and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
- Remove the brisket and let it rest before slicing.
- Serve with the gravy from the slow cooker.

- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
