Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form mixture into patties.
  3. In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides.
  4. Transfer patties to the slow cooker.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Pour the mixture over the patties in the slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the gravy to thicken before serving.
