  • 2 cups applewood chips
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the smoker to 225°F.
  2. Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
  3. Rub olive oil over the turkey.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Soak the applewood chips in water for 30 minutes.
  6. Place the turkey in the smoker, breast side up.
  7. Add applewood chips to the smoker.
  8. Smoke the turkey for 30 minutes per pound.
  9. Brush melted butter over the turkey every hour.
  10. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F.
