Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup onion, diced

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove patties and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
  8. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer.
  9. Return patties to the skillet and cover with gravy.
  10. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
