Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and chopped onions.
  4. Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  6. Incorporate the shredded cheese into the dough.
  7. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  9. Place the loaf in a greased bread pan and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
