A rich and delicious southern chocolate cobbler that combines a cake-like topping with a gooey chocolate center.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar and hot water.
- Carefully pour the brown sugar mixture over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
- Reheat in the microwave for a quick treat.
