Spicy Southwest turkey burgers are flavorful and juicy.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
  • 1 egg
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, cilantro, jalapeño, and egg.
  2. Form the mixture into four patties.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or a salad.
