Description

Spicy tuna crispy rice is a flavorful dish featuring crispy rice topped with spicy tuna.


Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces sushi-grade tuna, diced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a rice cooker. Cook according to rice cooker instructions.
  3. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat until dissolved.
  4. Once rice is cooked, transfer to a bowl and mix in vinegar mixture. Let cool.
  5. In another bowl, combine diced tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha.
  6. Once rice is cool, form into small squares or rectangles.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry rice pieces until golden and crispy on both sides.
  8. Top each crispy rice piece with spicy tuna mixture and avocado slices.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
