Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup green gram
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1 cup palm sugar
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice and soak it for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the rice with coconut milk and a pinch of salt until soft.
  3. Boil the green gram separately until tender.
  4. In a pan, melt jaggery and palm sugar together.
  5. Add grated coconut, cashew nuts, raisins, and spices to the jaggery mixture.
  6. Combine the cooked rice and green gram with the jaggery mixture.
  7. Mix well and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
  • Use fresh coconut for better flavor.
  • Garnish with additional nuts if desired.
