- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
- Rub the mixture all over the standing rib roast.
- Place the roast bone side down in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 20 minutes at 450°F.
- Reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue cooking for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for medium-rare.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
