A refreshing summer drink featuring the bright flavors of strawberries and lemons.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine strawberries and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. Add lemon juice and sugar to the strawberry puree. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce sugar to 3/4 cup.
  • You can substitute agave syrup for sugar for a different flavor.
  • To enhance the drink, add a splash of soda water for fizziness.
