Description
A delicious strawberry rose tart filled with creamy custard.
Ingredients

- 1 pre-made tart shell
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the tart shell in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine milk and heavy cream. Heat until warm.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch.
- Slowly add warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Stir in vanilla extract and rose water.
- Pour custard into the baked tart shell.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Substitute other fruits if desired.
