A delicious blend of strawberry shortcake and cheesecake in cake form.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Whip heavy cream and fold into cream cheese mixture.
- Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled cake.
- Top with fresh strawberries.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
- Chill the cake for 1 hour before serving.
- Can be made a day in advance.
