Description

A delicious blend of strawberry shortcake and cheesecake in cake form.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely.
  8. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Whip heavy cream and fold into cream cheese mixture.
  10. Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled cake.
  11. Top with fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • Chill the cake for 1 hour before serving.
