A festive strawberry shortcake dessert perfect for Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir until combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
- Let cool, then slice in half horizontally.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Layer strawberries and whipped cream between cake layers and on top.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Chill the whipped cream before use.
- Can be made a few hours in advance.
