Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir until combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Let cool, then slice in half horizontally.
  9. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  10. Layer strawberries and whipped cream between cake layers and on top.
