A classic stuffed turkey recipe for Thanksgiving.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons dried sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and celery; sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, sautéed vegetables, sage, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Add chicken broth gradually until the mixture is moist.
- Stuff the turkey with the mixture and secure the opening.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for about 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
- You can add nuts or dried fruits to the stuffing for extra flavor.
- Ensure the stuffing is fully cooked inside the turkey.
