Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  3. Add egg, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly and create an indentation.
  8. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice.
  9. Fill each indentation with the cream cheese mixture.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  11. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
