- 12 manicotti pasta tubes
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook manicotti in boiling salted water for 7 minutes, then drain and cool.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each manicotti tube with the cheese mixture using a piping bag.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed manicotti in the dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with extra cheese if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
