Teriyaki chicken made in an air fryer for a quick and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Marinate chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and place in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and water, then add remaining marinade over medium heat until thickened.
  7. Drizzle sauce over cooked chicken.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the marinade for more or less sweetness.
  • Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
  • For a crispy texture, increase cooking time by a few minutes.
