Description
A flavorful teriyaki glazed salmon recipe with a sticky, sweet sauce.
Ingredients

- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove salmon from marinade and reserve the marinade for later use.
- Grill salmon for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, bring reserved marinade to a boil. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the saucepan to thicken the sauce.
- Once thickened, glaze the salmon with the sauce before serving.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of brown sugar.
