Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, beat well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  6. Pour batter into greased cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let the cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  8. While cakes cool, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  9. Once cooled, layer the cakes with frosting in between.
