  • 1 ½ cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in apples and walnuts.
  9. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
