Delicious Thanksgiving dessert pie with a rich filling and flaky crust.
Ingredients

- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, spices, and salt.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the evaporated milk until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 40-50 minutes.
- Check for doneness by inserting a knife; it should come out clean.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream if desired.
- Can be made a day in advance.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
