- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup gravy
- Green beans, steamed
- Pumpkin pie
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by mixing stuffing mix with chicken broth, onion, and celery.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast the turkey for about 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should be 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest before carving.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
- Finish with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator for 1 day for every 4-5 pounds.
- Consider using fresh herbs for added flavor.
- Make sure to carve the turkey against the grain for tenderness.
