Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage) – 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 tablespoon
- Stuffing – 1 box (or homemade)
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Potatoes – 5 lbs
- Milk – 1 cup
- Gravy – 1 jar or homemade
- Pumpkin pie – 1 pie
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing if desired.
- Roast the turkey for about 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the turkey cooks, wash and trim the green beans.
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then mash with milk and butter.
- Prepare cranberry sauce according to package instructions.
- Heat gravy in a saucepan.
- Once the turkey is done, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve all dishes together, including pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Thaw the turkey in the fridge 1-2 days before cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the turkey’s doneness.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
