A classic Thanksgiving dinner featuring turkey, stuffing, and all the traditional sides.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (15 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups green beans
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 pumpkin pie
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the stuffing by sautéing onions and celery in butter.
- Add bread crumbs, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Moisten with chicken broth and mix well.
- Stuff the turkey and place it in a roasting pan.
- Roast the turkey for about 4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Cook mashed potatoes and green beans while the turkey roasts.
- Serve turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
- Finish the meal with pumpkin pie.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Adjust seasoning in stuffing according to taste.
- Make cranberry sauce ahead of time for best flavor.
