Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and pumpkin puree.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool, then top with whipped cream before serving.
