Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cranberry sauce
- 3 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup green beans
- 1 pumpkin pie
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by sautéing onion and celery in butter.
- Add bread crumbs, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast the turkey for approximately 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Cook the mashed potatoes and green beans as side dishes.
- Serve cranberry sauce alongside the turkey.
- Finish the meal with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Make sure the stuffing reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
