Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Onion – 1 large
- Celery – 3 stalks
- Carrots – 2 large
- Chicken broth – 4 cups
- Stuffing mix – 1 box
- Cranberries – 12 oz
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (store-bought or homemade)
- Whipped cream – for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with a mixture of stuffing, chopped garlic, onion, celery, and carrots.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and add chicken broth.
- Roast the turkey for about 3-4 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- While the turkey cooks, prepare cranberry sauce by boiling cranberries with sugar until they pop.
- Once the turkey is cooked, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
