A classic Thanksgiving dessert featuring a creamy pumpkin filling in a flaky crust.
Ingredients

- 1 (9-inch) pie crust
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (12 fl oz) evaporated milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish.
- In a bowl, mix pumpkin, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Stir in evaporated milk until smooth.
- Pour filling into pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-50 minutes.
- Check if the filling is set. Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
