A delicious Thanksgiving turkey recipe that will impress your guests.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub the softened butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Season the turkey inside and out with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage.
- Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan.
- Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 3 to 4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- For added flavor, stuff the turkey with your favorite stuffing.
- Brining the turkey overnight can enhance moisture and flavor.
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
