  • Onions – 2, quartered
  • Carrots – 4, chopped
  • Celery – 4 stalks, chopped
  • Chicken broth – 4 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and sage.
  3. Rub the butter mixture under the skin of the turkey.
  4. Stuff the turkey cavity with onions, carrots, and celery.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  6. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil.
  7. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes for browning.
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
