This is the best homemade chili recipe that is hearty and full of flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Stir occasionally, and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add more spices for extra heat.
- This chili can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- It can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
