This is the best plov recipe ever, a flavorful rice dish with meat and vegetables.
Ingredients

- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 lb lamb or beef, cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 4 cups water
- 3 cloves garlic, whole
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat and sauté the onions until golden.
- Add the meat and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the carrots and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the rice, water, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Cook for about 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes before serving.
