- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil.
- Add flour and stir until a dough forms.
- Remove from heat, let cool for a few minutes.
- Incorporate eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Let cool, then fill with whipped cream.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
