Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in kidney beans, black beans, and diced tomatoes.
- Add chili powder and cumin, mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by adding hot sauce.
- Serve with cornbread for a complete meal.
- Chili tastes better the next day.
