Classic thumbprint cookies filled with jam.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add flour, salt, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- Form dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indent in each ball with your thumb.
- Fill each indent with jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use any jam flavor you prefer.
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Adjust baking time for larger cookies.
