Description

A delicious layered dessert featuring fruit, custard, and cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries, sliced
  • 1 pound blueberries
  • 1 pound sponge cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup sherry (optional)

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  2. Pour half of the sherry over the cake (if using).
  3. Add half of the sliced strawberries and blueberries on top of the cake.
  4. Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the fruit layer.
  5. Add half of the whipped cream on top of the pudding.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use any seasonal fruits of your choice.
  • Can be made a day in advance.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, skip the sherry.
