Description

Turtle bars are a delicious dessert combining chocolate, caramel, and pecans in a cookie bar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and cocoa powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter with brown and granulated sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, then mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Spread the mixture in a greased baking pan.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Let cool before cutting into bars.
